368. APOLOGIES
There were no apologies for absence.
369. MINUTES
The Minutes of the Meetings of the Committee held on the 6 November 2007 to be signed after circulation.
370. MATTERS ARISING
It had been agreed at the last meeting that a vice - chairman should be elected for the Plans Committee. Cllr. D. Whitcomb was then duly elected as vice chairman.
371. DARTMOOR NATIONAL PARK
a) Ref: P/A No. 0788/07 for Home Farm Foods, 1 Pitts Cleave I.E., Tavistock. of a single storey extension to house a new freezer and storage area and demolition of an existing store.
Grant of Conditional Planning Permission was noted.
b) Ref: P/A No. 0784/07 for a conservatory to rear of The Farmhouse, Tavistock Trout Farm, Tavistock.
Grant of Conditional Planning Permission was noted.
372. ON-STREET PARKING ISSUES - WITH REFERENCE TO SITES OF NEW BUILD
There was nothing further to report at this time.
373. GENERAL CORRESPONDENCE
a) Ref: P/A No. 9462/2006/Tav for formation of a driveway, re-routing of cycle track, improved visibility splays and part change of use of building to car servicing at Higher Wilminstone Farm, Wilminstone, Tavistock. Notice of Appeal to be heard on 30 January 2008, 10 a.m. at W.D.B.C. Offices was noted.
b) Devon County Minerals and Waste Development Framework Minerals Core Strategy - Consultation on Issues and Options - Consultation Paper for consideration. (Consultation period ends on 18 January 2008.) Cllr. Pike agreed to undertake a review of the document and report back to the Committee.
374. URGENT BUSINESS BROUGHT FORWARD AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CHAIRMAN
The Mayor asked if there was any further information regarding the 'tomb stone' paving slabs that have been used at the approach to the Manor development. It was agreed that a letter should go to Mr. Persse, W.D.B.C. Planning Department requesting an update on the situation.
