Minutes of a Meeting of the PLANS COMMITTEE of Tavistock Town Council held in the Council Chamber, Drake Road, Tavistock on TUESDAY the 11th SEPTEMBER, 2007 at 6.00pm

211. APOLOGIES 
Apologies for absence were received in retrospect from Cllr. Mrs. J Metcalf.

212. MINUTES
The Minutes of the Meetings of the Committee held on the 31 July 2007, 
14 August 2007 and 28 August 2007 were signed as a true record.

213. MATTERS ARISING
There were no matters arising.

214. DARTMOOR NATIONAL PARK
D.N.P.A. - Development Control Site Inspection Procedure. Notes had been sent with agenda for Plans Committee members. Cllr. Pike said that, from experience, this had proved to be a good system - Noted.

215.    ON-STREET PARKING ISSUES - WITH REFERENCE TO SITES OF NEW BUILD
There was nothing further to report at this time.

216.   GENERAL CORRESPONDENCE
a) Ref: P/A No. 10546/2007/Tav - Erection of an extension at Chollacott Nursing Home, 61 Whitchurch Road, Tavistock. It was noted that this application has been withdrawn.
b) Ref: P/A No. 10622/2007/Tav - Demolition of existing dwelling and erection of detached apartment building containing 6 units. It was noted that this application has been withdrawn.
c) Proposed site share on radio base station at Buddle Quarry, Tavistock. Plans relating to this proposal had been circulated to Plans Committee members and were noted.
d) Ref: P/A No. 10794/2007/Tav - Erection of four houses on land off Marshall Road, Whitchurch, Tavistock.  Letter of objection was noted.
e) Letter of acknowledgement from W.D.B.C. Re. our comments in reply to   Site Allocation Issues and Options document was noted.

217.  URGENT BUSINESS BROUGHT FORWARD AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CHAIRMAN
A representative of Sainsburys Supermarkets had viewed the comments made by the Plans Committee on the planning application for a new supermarket in Tavistock. He had noted these and hoped to reply to some of the issues raised in time for the next meeting of the Plans Committee.
