Minutes of a Meeting of the PLANS COMMITTEE of Tavistock Town Council
held in the Council Chamber, Drake Road, Tavistock on TUESDAY the 23rd OCTOBER, 2007 at 6.00pm

307. APOLOGIES 
Apologies for absence were received from Cllr. M. Harper, Cllr. Mrs. J Metcalf and Cllr. R. Pike (ex off).  Cllr D Best was not present at the start of the meeting, therefore the Mayor, Cllr Mrs Anne Johnson, took the chair.

308. MINUTES
The Minutes of the Meetings of the Committee held on the 11th September 2007 and 25th September 2007 as agreed at the Council Meeting of 8th October 2007 were signed as a true record.  The Minutes of the Meeting of the Committee held on 8th October 2007 are to be signed after circulation.

309. MATTERS ARISING

 None 311. ON-STREET PARKING ISSUES -WITH REFERENCE TO SITES OF NEW BUILD
There was nothing further to report at this time, however it was acknowledged that this is a topic which requires ongoing consideration.

312.   GENERAL CORRESPONDENCE
a) Re: P/A 10916/2007/TAV - Copy letter of objection from Mrs H D Hicks - noted.  A letter of acknowledgement and thanks with the Town Council's comments to be written in reply.
b) Re: The Old Corn Market - Advertisement Consent: E-mail from Jonathan Dymond re amendments to satisfy the Town Council's expressed concerns and reply from David Best (under delegated powers) to indicate he is now happy for them to proceed - noted.
c) Re: P/A 10945/2007/TAV & P/A 10946/2007/TAV - Copy letter of objection to erection of twelve plus two dwellings at The Little Field, 26 Green Lane from Ossie Palmer - noted.  A letter of acknowledgement and thanks with the Town Council's comments to be written in reply.
d)   Re: P/A 10794/2007/TAV - Land to rear of 7 Church Road, Whitchurch
Notice of Site Meeting: Thursday 25th October at 10.00 a.m. - noted.  No-one present at the meeting is able to attend.
e) WDBC Re: Application Consultations - it was noted that comments should indicate a definite "support" or "object" response rather than the neutral "no objections" unless a neutral response is intended.

313.  URGENT BUSINESS BROUGHT FORWARD AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CHAIRMAN
The Chairman reminded members of the 'Introduction to Planning' training on 15th November, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Cardinal Newman House, Exeter.  It was noted that Cllr Ian Jennings had been booked as "I Jenkins", so this needs to be corrected.  The Chairman asked if anyone present would like to take the third place booked on the course.
