Minutes of a Meeting of the PLANS COMMITTEE of Tavistock Town Council held in the Council Chamber, Drake Road, Tavistock on TUESDAY the 25th SEPTEMBER, 2007 at 6.00pm

The Mayor opened the meeting in the absence of the Chairman.

246. ON-STREET PARKING ISSUES - WITH REFERENCE TO SITES OF NEW BUILD
A letter from D.C.C. in reply to our comments on developers' parking re: proposed new development at 43-44 Brook Street is attached at Appendix C for members of the Plans Committee – noted.

247. GENERAL CORRESPONDENCE
a) Letter from D.C.C. re: visibility at junction of Ford Street and Spring Hill is attached at Appendix D for members of the Plans Committee – noted.
b) Letter from W.D.B.C. re: an appeal against refusal of P/A No. 10163/2007/Tav - Erection of double garage with artist studio over at Wilminstone Farm, Tavistock – noted.
c) Site Inspection Meeting will be on Thursday 27 September 2007 for the following applications:-
i) P/A 10662/2007/Tav – 17 Fitzford Cottages, Tavistock at 10.00 a.m.
ii) P/A 10742/2007/Tav – Public Convenience, Bedford Square, Tavistock at 10.30 a.m.
iii) P/A 10692/2007/Tav – Parcel  A, The Manor, Tavistock at 10.50 a.m. – noted.These site meetings will be attended by the Chairman, Cllr. Best

248.  URGENT BUSINESS BROUGHT FORWARD AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CHAIRMAN
a) Ref. Plans Committee meeting on Tuesday 6 November 2007.  Due to a speaker scheduled for 6.30 p.m. prior to the Council meeting, the Plans meeting will be brought forward to commence at 5.30 p.m. – noted.

Councillor M Harper joined the meeting.
