There were no apologies for absence.
144. MINUTES
The Minutes of the Meetings of the Committee held on the 3 July 2007 and 17 July 2007 to be signed after circulation.

There were no such matters.
146. DARTMOOR NATIONAL PARK
Ref: D.N.P.A. Local Development Framework: Core Strategy Development Plan Document - Submission Version - A letter had been received in acknowledgement of the Committee's reply and with thanks for its encouraging comments
147. ON-STREET PARKING ISSUES - WITH REFERENCE TO SITES OF NEW BUILD
a) The Chairman reported that the responsibility for such matters lay with D.C.C.Highways. It was agreed that in future they should be advised in advance of any possible problems.
b) The Chairman to refer to W.D.B.C. the incidence of vehicles for sale spilling over onto the pavement at the car lot opposite Drake's Stores.
148. GENERAL CORRESPONDENCE
a) Ref: P/a No.10359/2007/Tav, The Little Field, 26 Green Lane, Tavistock - The application for erection of twelve dwellings has been withdrawn - Noted.
b) Ref: P/a No.10387/2007/Tav, 22 Mitre Close, Tavistock - The retrospective application for erection of a rear conservatory has been withdrawn -Noted.
c) Notice of West Devon Local Development Framework - Community Consultation programme - Noted.
d) A letter has been received from a member of the public, with regard to the building of a supermarket in Tavistock. The letter was considered and it was agreed to acknowledge the letter and forward it to W.D.B.C. as the planning authority.
e) Ref: P/a No.10347/2007/Tav, 91 Sycamore Avenue, Bishopsmead, Tavistock - After refusal of planning permission this application has been taken to appeal - Noted.
f) Ref: P/a No.10469/2007/Tav, land adjacent to Mornish, Down Road, Tavistock - Notice of a site meeting to be held on site at 12 noon on Thursday 2 August 2007. Councillors Best and Pike would advise the Deputy Town Clerk of their availability.
g) West Devon Local Development Framework Community Consultation - Core Strategy Revised Preferred Option and Site Allocations DPD Issues and Options - for consideration and comments by Tuesday 5 September 2007. It was agreed that the documents would be circulated between members and this would be put on the agenda for the meeting on 28 August 2007.
h) A letter from W.D.B.C. ref. the naming of the McCarthy and Stone development at Abbey Rise, Whitchurch Road, Tavistock was considered. The name of St. John's Court, as suggested by the developer, was agreed.
149. URGENT BUSINESS BROUGHT FORWARD AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CHAIRMAN
a) The Chairman reminded members of the D.A.P.C. training day for planning, to be held in Exeter on 15 November,2007.
