WMN Town Hall Charity Event 30th January 2010
Tavistock Town Council would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported our charity sale held on 30th January 2010 in aid of the Western Morning News 150th Anniversary Grassroots Challenge.
Over £300 was raised from table rents and tombola for the Grassroots Challenge, in addition to this all the charities that took part in our event raised monies for their own individual charities.
Charities involved with the event included Tavistock Lions and Rotary clubs, Tavistock Museum, Children’s Hospice SW,MENCAP, TAMWED, Innerwheel, Midwifery with Altitude and Plymouth NICU.
Tombola prizes were very kindly donated by local businesses including AScentSation,Co-op, JAG, Lawsons, Martin Luck, Morrisons, Somerfield Stores, Tavistock Film & Music, Tavistock Original Pasty House, Towls and Vaughan’s.
The whole event was very successful thanks in no small part to the members of public that came along, thank you all for your generosity and support.
