National Day of Reflection 23rd March 2021

The Town Council are pleased that Tavistock will play its part in the first National Day of Reflection led by the Marie Curie Charity.

March 23rd marks one year since the UK first went into lockdown due to the pandemic and since then millions of people throughout the United Kingdom and globally have been bereaved as a result of COVID-19 and due to other causes.

To mark our respect, the Town Hall will be joining the Nation in shining a light in memory of those who have passed away and in support of those who are grieving their loss by lighting up the windows in yellow.

Tavistock Town Hall will be a beacon of hope and solidarity for the Town, with the Community able to come together and unite; taking part in the National Day of Reflection by lighting a candle that evening within their homes as well as holding a minutes’ silence at 12 noon.
