Exciting News – Improvements to Tavistock’s Meadows Play Area

We’re pleased to share an update on improvements to Tavistock’s Meadows Play Area.

Following ongoing issues with vandalism, the much-loved pirate ship has unfortunately had to be removed, making way for exciting new equipment.

From week commencing 11th May, work will begin on installing a brand-new multi-play unit, made from recycled plastic and supplied by local Devon company Rhino Play.

This marks the first phase of a wider project to enhance the play area. We’ll also be replacing the climbing net with a new six metre net in the future, with more details to follow in due course.

We appreciate your patience while these works are carried out. The installation team will ensure the park remains a safe and enjoyable space for children and families throughout.

This project is being delivered by Tavistock Town Council, with grant funding support from West Devon Borough Council through £50,000 of Section 106 funding, helping to invest in our community spaces.

We look forward to seeing local families enjoy the new equipment and make the most of the improved play area.
