1. Nomination papers must be hand delivered to the Deputy Returning Officer at
Kilworthy Park (reception area), Tavistock, Devon, PL19 0BZ, between the hours of 10
am and 4 pm, on any day (excluding weekends and bank holidays) after the date of this
notice but no later than 4 pm on Thursday, 7 August 2025. As the reception at
Kilworthy Park is closed to the public (apart from Tuesdays), an appointment will need
to be made with the Deputy Returning Officer to submit your nomination papers –
please email [email protected] or call 01822 813308 to arrange a suitable
time.
2. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, at
Kilworthy Park, Tavistock, Devon, PL19 0BZ, during the times stated above.
3. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 4 September 2025 between
the hours of 7.00 am and 10 pm.
4. Applications to register to vote can be completed online at https://gov.uk/register-to-vote,
or by completing a form available from the council offices and must reach the
Electoral Registration Officer at Kilworthy Park, Tavistock, Devon, PL19 0BZ, by 12
midnight on Monday 18 August.
5. Applications, amendments to or cancellations of postal votes, or changes to existing
proxy voting arrangements must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Kilworthy
Park, Tavistock, Devon, PL19 0BZ, by 5 pm on Tuesday, 19 August 2025. These can
be completed online at https://gov.uk/apply-postal-vote or https://gov.uk/apply-proxyvote.
6. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document
valid for this election, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Kilworthy Park,
Tavistock, Devon, PL19 0BZ, by 5 pm on Wednesday 27 August 2025 and can be
made online at www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate or by completing a
form available from the council offices.
7. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration
Officer at Kilworthy Park, Tavistock, Devon, PL19 0BZ, by 5 pm on Wednesday, 27
August 2025 and can be made online at https://gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote.
8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral
Registration Officer at Kilworthy Park, Tavistock, Devon, PL19 0BZ, by 5 pm on
Thursday, 4 4 September 2025.
